Mamata to get Railways
Thursday 21 May 2009
Trinamool Congress leader Mamta Banerjee is learnt to be the key contender for the post of Union Railways Minister.
After tough bargaining for portfolios, DMK not satisfied with the Congress proposal of Ministries has walked out what is seen as Mamatas's gain. Now it is almost sure that Mamata would get the Railways portfolio. The TC which is the forerunner among the Congress allies, too had its reservations for ministerial berths and was keen on Railways in particular though the TC chief in public maintained that her party was not making any demands. --MP
