Popular Bengali actress Shatabdi Roy will contest the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections for Trinamool Congress.This was informed by TMC Chief Mamta Banerjee on Monday.

Announcing the party's decision to field  Shatabdi for the elections, Mamta however did not disclose any details on the constituency from where the actress would contest.

She also confirmed that TMC has reached on a deal with the Congress to fight the elections at the State.
