WB to get AIIMS like medical college

The Center government has given nod for the set up of medical college in West Bengal thathof the likes of  AIIMS in New Delhi.

Two such medical college has been proposed of which one has been identified in Raiganj of North Dinajpur district in West Bengal.

The new hospital would be facilitated with multi speciality centers which is estimated to cost Rs 823 crore. The hospital would have 960 beds  and is funded under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY) scheme.
