Jalpaiguri tense

Jalpaiguri district in northern Bengal is in a state of tense after attacks against a ABAVP leader by alleged GJM activists. Adding fuel to fire, ABAVP supporters retaliated by torching three houses of GJM supporters which has mounted the communal violence in the region.

On the wake of increased tension, WB chief Minister has called the GJM for talks. Tthe Tribal group, ABVAP is very much opposed to GJM's continuing demand for a seperate state.
