WB set for bypolls
Tuesday 30 December 2008
The State by polls would mean much to the ruling Left Front as this would be a reflection of the party's handling of issues like Nandigram violence in particular.
With the bypolls for the state assembly scheduled on Jan 5th, all prominent parties are on full swing with the campaign to take on the Left party. Opposition trinamool Congress is banking heavily on Nandigram incident which they believe could favour them in the elections. After Para district, Nandigram and Sujapur will be going for polls on Jan 5th and the counting of votes for all the three regions will be held on Jan 9th. --MP
