Bird flu in Malda

West Bengal has been coping with the outbreak of bird flu disease for the past few months.

After Murshidabad district, now its Malda district of the State which has come under the attack of the deadly bird flu virus.

Over 800 birds are reportedly dead over the past week and culling operations are underway to overcome threats of the outbreak in the district.

On investigations of samples from dead birds collected from  a farm in Malda's English Bazar Block have tested positive for avian flu.
