This year's state budget will be tabled in the West Bengal Assembly on March 14th. Finance Minister Asim Dasgupta will present the budget during the budget session that will start on March 6th which is expected to be a stormy session.
With the Union budget heading on its way, the Finance Minister also expressed hope that the Center's budget would provide budgetary provisions for infrastructure development for states like West Bengal.
He also stressed on the need for public healthcare cover for the poor in rural and urban areas.
