Former Indian captain Saurav Ganguly will lead the Kolkata side of the BCCI supported Indian Premier League(IPL) which is set to begin its tournament on April 18th.
Though the selection of the captain of the Kolkata team is not yet oficially made, sources say that Ganguly has been considered as the first choice for the position of the captain.
Bollywood star Sharukh Khan is the owner of the Kolkatta franchise and the actor has already talked the matter with the player and Ganguly has been advised to select the rest of the players of his team.
Besides local players, the team would also carry a maximum of foreign players. The likes of Adam Gilchrist, Jaques Kallis, Shaun Pollock, Bret Lee, Shahid Afridi and Yousuf Youhana are being shortlisted by Ganguly for his team.
