Theatre lovers can cool off at the 10-day festival "Odeon 2006" that will kick off here from June 23. Odeon is being sponsored by cellular phone operator Hutch for the last six years. The festival promises to offer new plays. Besides new plays, the festival will showcase some rare art forms such as 'naatoker gaan', puppet show and mime. The festival will offer two plays in English and Hindi and four in Bengali. Out of 65 scripts, only four plays were selected for the festival. A seminar will also be organised, at which theatre personalities like Bibhas Chakraborty, Saswati Biswas, Sohini Halder, Makrand Deshpande and Rajat Kapoor will be present.
